CYLINDRICAL GRINDING MACHINES
SURFACE GRINDING MACHINES
INTERNAL GRINDING MACHINES
Grinders belong to a group of machines that perform final technical operations by grinding metals or other materials.
Grinders are designed as non-portable (stationary) machines. They use a grinding disc that removes material as it rotates. A grinding disc is made mainly of silicon carbide or artificial carborundum.
The grinding disc turns and removes material along its face or circumference.
Workpiece grinding is very frequently used in machine manufacturing. Modern grinders ensure production of parts with minimum dimensional tolerance, low surface roughness and high productivity. These machines are usually built into automatic production lines along with other machines. Grinders are made with CNC control.
Surface grinders are intended mainly for grinding the surfaces of metal parts.
Centre grinders are used to grind inner and outer cylindrical and conical surfaces of parts such as shafts, casings, axles, collars, etc.
