SBL 300 CNC service is provided for this modular CNC lathe originally manufactured by TOS / TRENS Trenčín. The SBL 300 was designed for medium‑ to high‑volume production of rotational components with simple as well as complex geometries. Thanks to its highly flexible modular concept, the machine was used both as a standard three‑axis CNC lathe and as a highly productive multi‑axis, multi‑spindle turning center for fully automated operation.
Although production of the SBL 300 CNC lathe has been discontinued and new machines are no longer available, this type of lathe remains a fully capable manufacturing solution when supported by proper maintenance, professional service and targeted modernization.
Characteristics of the SBL 300 CNC Lathe
The SBL 300 CNC lathe is designed for high‑performance machining under demanding serial production conditions. Thanks to its movable counter‑spindle, the machine allows complete machining of a workpiece on both sides in a single setup, including finishing operations.
This significantly reduces machining time, improves overall dimensional accuracy and eliminates the need for part transfers between machines, thereby lowering both investment and operating costs while maintaining high production quality.
Modular Machine Concept and Configuration Options
A key feature of the SBL 300 is its modular, building‑block design, which allows the machine to be configured precisely according to specific technological requirements:
- from a simple 3‑axis CNC lathe,
- up to a highly productive 9‑axis turning center designed for fully automated production.
The machine could also be equipped with motorized spindles, offering high dynamics, precision and long‑term operational reliability even under continuous load.
Tool Systems and Automation Capabilities
The SBL 300 CNC is equipped with a 12‑position VDI 30 tool turret, available in several configurations:
- without driven tools,
- with driven tools,
- with Y‑axis for complex machining operations.
Thanks to a wide range of optional accessories, the machine can be integrated into fully automated production lines. Available automation options include:
- hydraulic chuck or collet clamping systems,
- bar feeders,
- tool measuring probes,
- finished‑part pick‑off systems,
- automatic door operation,
- mist extraction from the working area.
The SBL 300 also supports remote diagnostics and data management, simplifying maintenance and production monitoring.
