SBX 500 CNC service is provided for the CNC turning center originally manufactured by TOS / TRENS Trenčín, which was developed with a strong focus on production efficiency and extremely high productivity. The SBX 500 CNC is designed for demanding technological applications where rigidity, machining stability and long‑term repeatable accuracy are essential.
Although production of the SBX 500 CNC machining center has been discontinued, we continue to provide complete service, spare parts supply, technical support and modernization options to ensure reliable long‑term operation under current manufacturing conditions.
Characteristics of the SBX 500 CNC Turning Center
The SBX 500 CNC is a turning machining center designed for high‑productivity machining in single‑piece, medium‑batch and serial production. An optimized load‑bearing machine structure combined with modern drive technology ensures excellent stability of the cutting process during demanding roughing operations, while maintaining high accuracy during finishing.
The machine is widely used in production environments where high demands are placed on precision, manufacturing flexibility and process automation.
Machine Design, Axes and Machining Stability
A key design feature of the SBX 500 CNC is the Y‑axis based on a wedge support concept, which, together with linear roller guideways, significantly contributes to:
- high rigidity of the entire machine structure,
- long‑term geometric stability,
- maximum machining stability even under high cutting forces.
The C‑axis with an independent servo drive ensures accurate and stable workpiece positioning during off‑center machining operations. Enlarged spindle bore diameters further expand machining possibilities for a wider range of shaft‑type and flange‑type components.
Tool Systems and Technological Capabilities
The SBX 500 CNC turning center is equipped with a high‑speed VDI 40 tool turret featuring:
- 12 driven tools,
- the ability to combine turning and milling operations.
A counter‑spindle with through‑clamping enables complete machining of the workpiece on both sides within a single setup, significantly reducing cycle times while increasing dimensional accuracy of finished parts.
Programming, Automation and Ergonomics
The machine supports graphical 3D programming using technological cycles, simplifying production preparation and reducing setup times.
An integrated operator control panel improves machine ergonomics and operator comfort. The machine design allows easy integration of industrial robots for handling raw material and finished parts, enabling a high level of automation.
The equipment also includes energy‑efficient drive technologies and a powerful coolant system with pressure options ranging from 0.7 MPa (7 bar) to 2.0 MPa (20 bar).

Even though the SBX 500 CNC turning center is no longer in production, we provide comprehensive SBX 500 CNC service, including:
