MCV 800 QUICK service is focused on long‑term operation, maintenance and spare parts support for this 3‑axis vertical machining center with extended X‑axis travel of 800 mm. Although production of the MCV 800 QUICK has been discontinued, many machines remain in active use in industrial manufacturing.

Design, accuracy and ergonomics
The machine structure is built around a cast‑iron C‑frame, providing:
- high static and dynamic rigidity
- stability during heavy cutting operations
- long‑term geometric accuracy
Rolling linear guideways with direct measuring systems in all axes ensure smooth motion, high repeatability and stable positioning accuracy.
An innovated cross‑table kinematic configuration increases the static stiffness of the supporting structure while reducing the overall installation space. Improved ergonomics result in lower floor‑space requirements and easier access to the working area.
Operator safety is ensured by a fully enclosed splash‑proof cabin with left‑side glazed doors.
Spindle, tooling and productivity
The MCV 800 QUICK is equipped with a spindle designed for ISO 40 steep‑taper tooling (7:24) with central tool clamping. The QUICK version offers:
- spindle speed up to 12,000 rpm
- reduced noise level due to spindle design optimisation
- stable torque delivery via a regulated spindle motor
The use of productive cutting tools with through‑spindle coolant supply significantly improves machining efficiency, surface quality and tool life.
The machine is equipped with a 24‑station rotary tool magazine with a mechanically operated manipulator arm. Tool clamping and unclamping, as well as magazine operation, are pneumatically controlled.
Optional multi‑axis machining
With the use of an optional rotary and tilting table, the MCV 800 QUICK can be extended for:
- 4‑axis machining
- 5‑axis machining
This significantly expands the technological capabilities without the need to invest in a dedicated 5‑axis machining center.
The worktable features an increased number of T‑slots, allowing flexible clamping of larger or complex workpieces.
Chip removal and cooling
Standard equipment includes:
- manual air blow and coolant rinse
- spindle head work light
- external tool air blow
For machining cast iron, plastics or light non‑ferrous alloys (e.g. aluminium), the machine must be equipped with an effective coolant filtration system with fine filtration.
A screw‑type chip conveyor option is available, offering a more compact machine layout and reducing overall machine length by approximately 1,200 mm compared to chain‑type conveyors.

MCV 800 QUICK machines were supplied with modern and service‑proven CNC controls:
- HEIDENHAIN TNC 620
- SIEMENS 828D

The MCV 800 QUICK was manufactured approximately between 2012 and 2021 within the KOVOSVIT MAS product portfolio. A significant number of machines are still in active operation, resulting in ongoing demand for service and spare parts.
