The SN 710 Classic was designed for single‑piece and small‑batch production as well as for use in maintenance and repair facilities. The machine is intended for machining larger rotational components and applications where machining stability, accuracy and long‑term operational reliability are essential.

Although production of the SN 710 Classic lathe has been discontinued, the machine remains widely used today. Thanks to its massive construction and simple mechanical design, it offers an excellent balance between operating costs and practical value when supported by professional servicing.
